What is Covid Connect?With social isolation, individual counties lack the ability to easily connect their residents with mental health resources to reduce rising anxiety and stress. Covid Connect is a website and open-source program created to address the need for a centralized platform for mental health resources.

HistoryAmid the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the Governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo asked mental health professionals to offer online services for free to help those in need during these difficult and unprecedented times. Some time after the request, the Governor stated, “ Six thousand mental health professionals agreed to volunteer to provide mental health services for people who need it. How beautiful is that?”. Our team realized there was an increasing need for mental health resources that were not defined by state borders or pre-existing infrastructure.
